Turning of the leaves

I love the changing colour of the leaves at this time of the year. Autumn has a kind of melancholy, languid feel to it, rather like many of the earlier songs of Paul Simon whose 80th birthday tributes I have been enjoying in recent days, rediscovering old favourites and some songs I had forgotten altogether. I never saw Simon and Garfunkel perform together but have seen them both performing solo, most recently Paul Simon in Hyde Park and Art Garfunkel at Glastonbury. 'America' from the Bookends album is high on my all-time favourite playlist.
