Cuttle Fish

The rough sea and high tide brought in this cuttlebone. Cuttlefish are really pretty molluscs which look as though they have a frilly skirt.

The cuttlebone, which is what we find on the beach, is often used in bird cages for budgies and canaries to sharpen their beaks on.
