The river Usk

Feeling a bit better today, but still under the weather. Thanks for my get well wishes, they appeared to have started working.

Its been snowing on and off for most of the day today and constantly tonight, just a shame its not settling, its just teasing me.

Todays image is of the river Usk with 3 bobbing boats. The river always looks lovely when the tide is in, just a shame it has to go out as well.

A few details of the river Usk are:

It has the second highest tidal rise and fall of any river in the world

Every spring tide, some 70,000 tons of silt are carried in on the tide and then out again

The flow of water in the River can vary between 10 cubic metres per second to 1000 cubic metres per second.
