Beautiful weather today and a long, long walk on magical Lindisfarne beach.

With a special picnic treat: egg rolls! Boil the eggs until set but not too hard, peel as soon as your hands can stand the heat, then chop and mix with butter while still hot, so that the butter melts. Put into buttered Scots morning rolls. For me this is the taste of special holiday days.
