Helmsley

We took a trip to Helmsley this afternoon - a lovely little market town on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Lots of little shops and quite busy with visitors, even on a October Thursday. Apparently it is a popular destination for motorcyclists at weekends. D, who drove us all there in his car, has a couple of motorbikes and says there is a great sense of camaraderie among bikers when you pull up in the square.
