Cão
Dog.
I’m getting very gnarly at work inefficiencies involving our main UK office, although it’s tempered quite well by being at the project site. I feel more connection here to the overall project goal when hustling an administrative process or decision compared to when I’m sitting in a room in a city. However in the grades of connectedness and job satisfaction, the city in Mozambique still wins hands down to doing my work from the UK.
This critter is good at counterbalancing gnarliness. The resident dog speeds over at various times of the day, today carrying a big leaf, and wanting to be scratched. Wim was against having a dog around so much dangerous wildlife but was outnumbered by his wife and daughter. I’d say he’s been a great addition, even when he leaves my hands covered in saliva and clothes covered in paw prints. I’m thankful it’s the dry season and there are no mud slicks around to attract excitable paws.
