PUKEKO FOOT

The Estuary birds are noticeably down in numbers as I'm guessing they are tucked down nesting. Pukeko are out in numbers though - along the estuary margins feeding up for their new offspring to arrive soon.  This one gave me a good look at its foot today which made my cut.  They have big beaks and big feet.
