Lone rose

A not much happening kind of day, until late afternoon when met with friends for drinks at the local.  Emergency Blip of friend H’s cottage door on the way home - just one lone rose hanging on in there now.  Home to hear grandson F had passed his driving test at the first attempt.  His comment was apparently “failing was not an option!”  He certainly seems to have his life planned out.  Not sure what he will do if something doesn’t work out as planned at any point!
