Nerine in the rain
Thursday today and we didn't have much planned. After lunch we went over to Ali's and spent the afternoon there. Our tiny baby has gone from 5lbs 12ozs to 7lbs 8oz in just threeweeks. She's almost big enough for new born baby size clothes! She's had a good week and is now legally registered.
I took us some rather nice cakes from the village bakery as a reward.
Back home, Colin started to get ready for his visit to his mum this weekend.
It's been a horrid day weather-wise lots of very wet periods, still, with luck the garden will benefit. There were really high winds earlier on and the last of the apples blew off the tree. The apples have been great this year. Over the last 5 or six years they've really improved, I don't know whether we have been looking after the tree better or what but they are a really good size now and much tastier than they used to be. I think they are ripening better on the tree. That reminds me, I must have a look at the few pears on the pear tree and see how they are doing.
The blipped nerine is in the back garden just outside the bedroom window and such a lovely bright sight when I open the curtains in the morning. I really should split the clump this year.
Keep safe everyone, Edinburgh's numbers seem to be creeping up again, I hope it is, if you'll pardon the expression, just a blip!
