Budleigh Salterton
We started the day with a walk along the river Otter from Otterton Mill and then back for a spot of lunch. In the afternoon we parked at the Lime Kiln car park at Budleigh Salterton and walked along the sea front. An hour and an ice cream later, we found the hide at the Otter Estuary and indulged ourselves with a spot of birdwatching. We had already seen a kingfisher on the red rocks at one end of the beach but also managed to find yet more little egrets, Dunlin, common ringed plovers and loads of gulls and corvids.
