Ripening

I have a lot of green tomatoes and am picking them as soon as I see a hint of yellow. Placed on a sunny table with some that are already ripe they quickly turn red. As I have basil also growing well on a sunny windowsill I'm looking forward to tasty brushchetta at the weekend.
