Hawk

My husband called my attention to a garden visitor very busy among a mess of feathers - probably the remains of a pigeon.
I didn't manage to picture its head - I just observed for a long time before getting my camera. Shortly after this it took off - yes it was a hawk.
A squirrel approached quite near which didn't faze it at all and the squirrel didn't venture further.
