Across to Exmoor…

The view from our enormous bay window when I woke this morning! The mist came and went but added to the beauty. The sun came out later.

Valerie had a phone conversation at 10am with one of her medical team. We prayed beforehand, to receive whatever the news was and for her as she listened. It was as she expected. Her cancer is spreading. She will begin weekly chemotherapy from next week for thirteen weeks. It’s not good news. We cried together.

Laughter returned over lunch in Selworthy, a National Trust thatched village. We just do all laugh a lot when we’re together. The boys too. , though with possibly less gusto. The best medicine. My extra. Valerie handed her crutches over for the photo.

A quiet restful afternoon back at the house before dinner at The Royal Oak in Withypool.

I’ve heard there is a tiny mouse in the house. Not surprising. He gives a bit of a shock when he darts across the floor. I’ve yet to see him/her.
