Sunshine…….and showers

Slept quite well despite having a last minute panic about whether or not we needed to have done a PCR test before flying - we didn’t need to! Up just after 4 to shower and pack the toiletries.

Easy run to the airport and we waved goodbye to Miss PHL who drive off without a backward glance. Bag check was fine although one case weighed over the limit but we were allowed to check it. I think the scales weigh on the heavy side (or at least that’s what I’m telling myself).

Security was quiet but guess who forgot to take their iPad out of their carry on bag?
Time for breakfast and then we were boarding. Flight 3/4 full so not too busy. Little bit of turbulence but we had a good tailwind so landed early. Passport control and health check were painless and within 30 minutes we were in a taxi heading to the hotel.

Room was ready so we had time to unpack before lunch. We’re on an all inclusive deal which used to include unlimited alcohol but is now restricted to 3 drinks (wine or beer) at lunch and dinner. We didn’t drink our quota!

Out fir a quick walk around to buy beach towels and luckily we’re under shelter when the heavens opened - only a 10 minute shower thankfully. Back to the room to read for a while and we both fell fast asleep.

Quiet evening of dinner and reading before heading fit bed. Very excited to see my brother and his partner tomorrow. It’s going to be a good few days.
