Times have changed.

We live on a small coffee farm, surrounded by macadamia and avocado plantations and flower farms. But it wasn’t always this way. Our house is around 120 years old and was the farmhouse for a large dairy farm, one of a number around here.

Big Business took over the dairy industry here, farms were sold off, and the (relatively) new kids on the block are the plantations including ours.

The decaying cattle loading ramp that I’ve blipped is a testament to this. The extra, our old home.
