Steps towards spring

Slowly but surely, spring tries to take a grip on the country. Today I heard the first skylark, and saw a buzzard. Lots of daytime thawing today, but we will still having freezing temperatures during the nights, for the foreseeable future.

These winter aconites look a lot better now than about a week ago.
