Another beautiful day
I've been to the beach twice today. Yay! It's been like a summers day. In fact it was so hot early afternoon that we couldn't even sit out on our sun terrace without almost melting away. Ann met her friend for a coffee this morning and they sat overlooking the turquoise sea (and they honestly could have been in the Caribbean it was so hot & lovely). Unfortunately by 5pm the temperature really dips so Ann wasn't able to sit outside on her wine drinking chair. Not that she wanted to, because Wednesday (& Thursday) night is her 'Kangoo Jumps' night.
This time next week we'll be back in Edinburgh and apart from dinner with her support bubble (extended household in Scotland) & one 'meet & greet', she has nothing organised.
As those of you who follow our Blips regularly will know; we've been in St Ives for almost 6 weeks and every single day since we arrived, at the beginning of September, we've either done an activity or been out and about socialising. We have both had the bestest time ever.
It's amazing how lock down has changed my humans perspective on life so much.................... Pre lock down she had made Edinburgh her permanent home because she had a much better social life there and there was far more to do. Edinburgh is, after all, the capital city of Scotland.
However, Ann has been googling & googling & googling for things for us both to do when we go back and she still can't find any 'agility' classes for me or any 'Kangoo Jump' or 'Boogie Bounce' classes for her. And she's also been doing a 'smartphone photography' class. And it's going to be cold & dark and she knows she's just going to slip back into the habit of taking her bra off and changing into even more slobbing around clothes than her dog walking clothes having a glass bottle of wine at 4pm when she comes home from the dog walk because she won't be going out again and no one will be coming to visit???
It's really difficult to know what to do............................ Life is NEVER going to go back to what it was pre-lockdown. BUT life in a small English seaside town (Ie, St Ives) is most definitely a lot more normal than life was in the capital city of Scotland before we left?!! Even the fact that mask wearing in Scotland is still mandatory is a MASSIVE difference.
Oh well, ho hum.................. At least I am the most adaptable little collie pup in the world, so I will just fit in with whatever Ann wants me to do.
Watch this space peeps.......................... Perhaps I will end up being a 'Cornish Collie' after all??????????????????????
