Diversions
Today we were driving south east to Aldeburgh, but we kept getting diverted. One major diversion was to Fressingfield for lunch in the Fox and Goose. This pub and restaurant is in another guildhall built in 1509 (extra). MrHCB started his career working in East Anglia and remembered that this was a good restaurant in 1972. Luckily it is still good today.
Then, as we were a bit further north than we planned, we went to Southwold, where the light on the sea (main blip) was lovely. The biggest treat of the day was sitting on the beach with a Mr Whippy ice cream cone with a chocolate flake - you are really know you are on holiday when you get one of those :-).
