A tale of two wheels.
The Garden Fairy was off to have her booster jabs this afternoon. I persuaded her, in the interests of the planet and Greta Thunberg, to use her Segway. Luckily she has a good sense of humour, but sore arms.
Later we went off to Truro School, the private school on the far side of the city to watch the 1st XV. Our former neighbours from Chester send their son, Noah, to Wellington School in Taunton. He’s the huge lump standing beside me. I’m a large 5’ 9”, he’s a fit, tall 6’ 3.” What a brilliant way to spend a sunny cool afternoon. All the players were polite, amused that this ancient phart was a fly-half back in the day and very appreciative of the carrier bag of sweets Elaine gave them.
No cursing, no bad manners, good hard rugby and the opportunity to meet people from both Truro and Taunton. Due to a malfunction on my motherboard we had to leave at half-time but I have been like a kid at Christmas, a confused kid but still happy.
