Geese

The sky was full of birds today. On our walk over the fields we put up flocks of lapwings, with a few curlews amongst them, several pheasants and lots of small birds, pipits and such. 

The telegraph wires were thick with starlings, which took to the air as we approached, and overhead skeins of geese. Lovely to hear the geese, to watch them as their formations pattern the sky.
