Rest Day

All three of us more tired than usual  today.   Jamie got ready to go riding this morning but when I arrived to pick him up he was looking pale and sounding exhausted.  We called it off and he then slept for two and a half hours in his recliner.   With an electrician and the social  worker due to visit, I hung around and having brought my laptop and to do list with me, I was able to use the time productively.   Saved fifty pounds on my car insurance by switching so it was time well spent!

I popped in to work to check the newly changed rotas - less cafe shifts as an old face has returned to the crew - but then while I was there yet  more changes due to sickness meant I picked up a shift later this week.

Ruth has also added a few extra zeds today but we did manage an early evening stroll down the lanes, adding yet more blackberries to the store in the freezer.   For a brief moment the greyness was broken by a shaft of low sunlight .... above, the only photo I took today.

After a meal together at mine, Jamie and I headed back to the flat where he packed what he needs for some time visiting friends.   Back on the road again tomorrow.
