Eye test day. Two years late. Came away with two pairs of off-the-shelf glasses, one for close-up work, and the other for when I need them for driving or riding the motorbike. I'm just above the level of requiring them for driving, but that will undoubtedly change between now and the next test, so time to start trying them out. Can keep on using my current glasses from six years ago for general work, like, typing this text.
Because I'd reached a significant birthday over the past year, those drops that open up the iris of your eye were utilised to enable an inspection of the retina and other innards. Things were a bit blurry for the rest of the morning.
