A Room with a View

It used to be if you stood in the kitchen and looked out the back door all you saw was cabinet. Not the fabulous view. We've been in this house 8.5 years and today the cabinet came down! Now we have a view. And just as good, I will no longer bonk my head on the cabinet when rolling dough out. Must say that a corner head bonk is enough to bring tears to your eyes. Of course, now I can really see the kitchen fixture that is ugly. I just read about spray painting garage sale light fixtures. They all turned out pretty cute. I'm thinking about black or red. The cabinets were refinished with a fake oak laminate probably sometime in the 80s so we're stuck with them for now. Someday... But, for now I shall enjoy the new openness and the light flooding the space.
