Wet Dog

I went over to Bicester today to water my mum’s garden.
Archie loves a bit of water and did his best to help. See extras. Idiot dog!!
Our neighbour Miss W stick her head over the wall to say how sorry she was about Dom.
She’s in her late eighties now and has lived in the house since before we moved there in 1984. Her mum, Molly, was like a Nan to us.
Miss W remembers us growing up in the house, climbing over her garden wall every time we got locked out, going round for Feast ice creams when we were locked out, going round for the spare key when we were locked out. Can you spot a theme?!!!
She was clearly upset and wanted my mum to know she’d been thinking about him, and her.
Archie was proper confused that River and Elsie and Nana weren’t in the house. It was a bit sad watching him look for them.
And then we went to Stoke Lyne and he spent the first ten minutes looking for them. Then he concentrated on chasing rabbits and pheasants. He loved it!!
Home for some rubbish Australian TV, some chicken soup and a bit more studying.
Then Tesco - Miss L asked if we had jacket potatoes, chicken and bacon. No, no and no!! Lovely mummy that I am I jumped in the car to get it for her.
Chilli and  rice for me and Mr K and now Bake Off.
I really want Pavlova now……
