Pompeii

Lots of planning involved for today's adventure, all for nothing as discovered when got to the station that they and the buses were on strike. A look at car hire but non to be had, the only tourist bus was full so eventually hired a scooter. Got to Pompeii using a longer route, due to taking a wrong turn. Not to long a queue  so made it all be it a few hours later. 
A fabulous place, a lot bigger than I had realised, well worth the effort. Amazing how many buildings there are and they're condition. Some still have art work which was so detailed and colourful.
Decided Vesuvius by bike was a bit far also time was getting on so headed back mostly on the right roads to thankfully hand back the bike and get a large drink.
