A Long Day

…and a hungry jay.

After I had collected my mother at the hospital and drove her home, I fed Lisa (her cat), us (special thanks to P for his vegan bolognese) and the birds. Today we saw mostly sparrows, blackbirds, nuthatches and a pair of jays. 

It’s not quite in focus, but I didn’t take any other pictures today and I love the blue-and-black-striped feathers on their wings. 

After lunch, my mother napped. I started her washing mashine, made the bed in my old room and started to work. Half an hour later, she woke up and asked for coffee. 
That pattern continued, and I only got to work for about three hours all day, in 30-minute-bits, which is far from ideal. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
