Typewriter
Interesting how existing companies pivoted to manufacturing typewriters. In the US it was Remington, after Christopher Latham Stoles invented the modern typewriter in 1867.
Mr SF’s Prima was the Mercedes company’s first portable in 1934. He used it until he got an Amstrad word processor, but he’s still a one or two finger typist. The Prima works, with a pin topped with blu-tack improvised to replace a missing part.
