Sappy tree
A late post, after the school's annual drive-in movie night.
This is a small native tree (no, I don't know what it is - it's very wispy and not that attractive) that seems to be getting hard sap droplets along all its branches and ants, wasps and flies love it. On a really hot day recently all the drops melted. Now they have formed again. I have never noticed the tree do this before - but then I never used to be quite so observant of all the little things in my garden before, so maybe it always does it - or it could be a heat/dry stress reaction?
