Gold - turning the treasures into money

I got some gold coins from my grandparents and other relatives when I was baptised and later as a child - this used to be a custom where I come from.
I remember that I loved to look at them from time to time, considering them a personal treasure. I feel I am sentimentalising letting them go now.
But now is the time and purpose to do it.
(Not only because of the gold price;)
