Good news
An exciting start to the day when son #2 phoned just after midnight to announce the arrival of Amber Lena. I didn’t get the name detail until this afternoon when we came off the hill and I finally got a phone signal. It sounded like another tricky delivery and once again I marvelled at how straightforward it had been for me three decades ago. Both boys are delighted that there are two girl cousins to grow up together so close in age, if not in geography.
The blip is Ben Narnain, Ben Ime which was our goal was shrouded in mist. We took the decision at the Bealach not to continue, mainly on account of the wind which at just 600m was already dangerously speedy. And the view from the top would have been non existent. Definitely one to come back to probably in the late spring.
We were in the car park for thee leaving plenty time for coffee in the village pub, full of walkers who had made the same decision as us.
Family phone calls this evening and much sharing of news and photos.
