Firey sunset, Bec de Bosson
Had an amazing sunset from the mountain hut where we are staying tonight. It looked like the mountains were on fire. Thé Bec de Bosson is at 2,900 mètres and it took us 6 hours, with stops, to walk in over a fabulous ridge from Vercorin.
The hut is in an amazing location. There is no fresh water so bottled water is brought in. The toilets are ´dry’ toilets which open onto a sort of septic tank. It always amazes me how good the food is considering where we are. There was a group of seven of us but the hut was full with lots of other people. The weather was glorious so everyone was making the most of it as the hut will close next weekend. We last stayed overnight here in the winter of 2008 with our boys and another family.
The extras show the walk in and the hut.
