An Arch No More

Today I walked around Freshwater Bay. As I set off I risked going to the edge of the cliff to take a picture of what was the ‘Arch Rock’. I remembered it collapsing but couldn’t recall when this happened. I was shocked to find it was as long ago as 1992!
The view beyond is of Fort Redout which was originally built as barracks and more recently a restaurant (they did lovely cream teas!) before becoming a private home.
