Purple Rain

There are some who call this town 'Rainy Maleny' and today it lived up to that name. At least it meant I got through a backlog of work on the computer, though I did nip out for a cappuccino. As I passed by the library I saw that this plant against one of its walls had flowered; as purple is one of my favourite colours, it made it to my blip of the day.

I think it is a type of Tradescantia; there are not many plant types with three-petalled blooms though some Trilliums do look similar. If there are any experts out there, please do put me right.
