That's using the old noodle.

Today we visited the Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum in Ikeda. It was fascinating to see how the idea for Cup Noodles was developed, from its humble beginnings in a garden shed to internationally famous food it is today. The most fun part of the museum is the My Cup Noodle Factory where you can create your own individual Cup Noodle, from the packaging to the ingredients. Our creations are the subject of today's blipfoto.

Being the space-head I am, I was particularly fascinated by this exhibit dedicated to "Space Ram." Developed by the Nissin Food Company and J.A.X.A. (the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency), Space Ram was first consumed by astronaut Soichi Noguchi on board the space shuttle in July, 2005. Space Ram has extra thick soup so that it will not splash in zero gravity.
