Nottingham

The city centre looks rather sad, with so many shops closed.
I went to a concert by the London Concert Orchestra, who were performing music from film scores by Hans Zimmer and John Williams. Star Wars, Superman, The DaVinci Code and Pirates of the Caribbean amongst others.
Heading back to the station, Fave Niece saw one of her friends who had fallen and had a nasty head wound. 999 weren’t interested as she was still breathing and 111 weren’t answering! She was clearly suffering a degree of concussion, but we managed to get her onto the train and back to where her husband was waiting to take her to our local hospital for a check up. I found it quite bizarre that no one volunteered to give up their seat on the very full train for an obviously injured and poorly passenger. At least the guy who I asked , moved without an argument!
