Dawyck Botanical Gardens

Martin and I drove down to Dawyck Botanical Gardens in the borders today to tick off Scottish Borders on our list of local authorities to be visited this year. Although it was quite rainy, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. There is an amazing variety of trees there and some of Britain’s oldest. This is a close up of a Monkey Puzzle, a tree you often see in gardens of large old stone properties. I’m not usually a fan, but it looked great here. Very very sharp too!
