An October's Summer Day

The afternoon brought perfect weather: 20 deg, barely a ripple of wind, a pretty sky and crystal clear visibility. It's been a strange summer up in Yorkshire. There's been barely any rain to speak of until just a few days ago, but very few days like today. Cool, dry, quite overcast weather has been the norm, punctuated by the odd very hot day with nothing much in between. That's my recollection anyway, although when so many days go awol, I'm never sure how I much I can rely upon my memory!
