i like to visit

usually i only see - the typical mallard or wigeon - ducks as well as a - plethora of geese swimming - or flying in and out - of the waters - over the years there has - been a rare wood duck - couple who visit on - occasion gracing the pond - for short periods of time - then disappearing for parts unknown

today was a pleasant - surprise as i was only - expecting the usual and instead - was blessed with this - colorful and gorgeous duck - it’s really enough to - stop you in your tracks - to just stare at his beauty - plus the sunlight caught leaves - reflecting their color in the water - it all added up to…
