Nothing to Say
This is the sum total of my blips today- a free cappuccino from M&S thanks to the vouchers I’m using up from the time of the Covid closure of the café. Since they have shut down all their current accounts, I won’t get any more freebie coffee tokens.
I met up in the café with my school friend - she of Ivy on the Square fame -and we were joined unexpectedly by one of my neighbours who coincidentally was my friend’s lawyer in a past age. We had a rather jolly encounter before going our separate ways.
I was enroute with a chocolate birthday cake for #1 daughter, down from Cullen and manning the gallery. It was 2 days late but the thought was there. It wasn’t until I had almost made it home in the rain that I remembered the present in my rucksack. Nothing daunted I dried off, had my lunch and waited for the rain to stop before retracing my steps to hand it over.
It’s a particularly mild day but nevertheless the fire is on on the TV and I am a happy flame gazer and listener of the crackling sound effects. You couldn’t make it up, it’s like a scene out of the ‘funny farm’!
