Where the Light Gets In

By DHThomas

Big news!

it is set at last:
my photos up for two months
(just a year later)

A few days ago, Lilian, the new artistic director of Galerie L'Imagerie (Éric, the previous director, left just before summer, but of course I am still in contact with him, as we really got along personally) wrote me an email to say the exhibition of my series Patients' Hands was back in the cards.

It will take place at the Rehab centre where I stayed for over four months in 2019 and where I took the photos, from 2nd December to 1st February 2022. I admit I was pleasantly surprised when I learnt it was to last this long!

Extra: the photo that will serve as a poster and an invitation to opening night.

Regarding opening night: Julie, who heads the non-medical activities department at the rehab centre, had to battle with management to be allowed to organise it. The caveats will be that there be nothing to eat, that everyone present has a valid "Passe sanitaire" (proving they're either fully vaccinated or took a COVID test whose result shows they're healthy less than 48 hours before the event) and that masks are worn throughout, which all seem like reasonable precautions — though I'll be missing the snacks! :-D

I'm really happy this is finally happening!
