SILLY SATURDAY AT MOUNT PLEASANT FARM, WHASHTON

Hello Lovely Blippers,

Well, we have all had a lovely holiday staying here in The Bull Pen at Mount Pleasant Farm - but just in case you are worried that we were staying in a real bull pen, it’s a cottage that has been beautifully renovated, but which was a bull pen in its former life, hence the name!  I mean, can you imagine Mrs. HCB staying in an actual bull pen - now that would be extremely silly!

It is quite a misty morning, but the sun was shining, so we decided to go out into the little front garden and look at the OS map to see where we wanted to go today, which is our last day - and of course, it’s not only the usual gang, but two extras as well.  Leyburn, the fluffy dog, has fitted in very well, and we are still trying to work what variety he is, but no doubt as he grows, we will find out.

Then there is Reeth, the pink pig - now Reeth was a great find, because of course, it is Pinktober and you all know what that means.  In fact, there is a cottage here called The Piggery, so if we come again, perhaps we should stay in that one.

I’m sure you can see two  bulls in the picture too - not real ones, of course, because that would be silly - but one is a kitchen roll holder and one is an ornament that sits on the windowsill - and of course, we had to give him a pink ribbon to wear.

It is a very misty morning, so we don’t think that Mr. & Mrs. HCB will be going too far today.  They do have to clean the cottage anyway, and pack ready to leave tomorrow and then they are looking forward to a Blipmeet with a lovely lady and her husband in Sutton Coldfield, so their holiday doesn’t actually finish tomorrow.  On Monday they are going to the National Memorial Arboretum, which isn’t that far from Sutton Coldfield, so they still have a lot to pack in for the next couple of days.  

We do love holidays, and although it will be good to get home to our own beds and house and garden, it’s been great to be in North Yorkshire.  We’re sure that Admirer would be happy to know we have two new friends - and they have said they will be happy to be part of our Silly Saturday activities, so watch this space.

Mrs. HCB has asked me to ask you all to please click (a split infinitive, which I know she hates!) on this LINK, so that all those who cannot afford to pay for a mammogram can have a free one.  NowTHAT is not at all silly - I mean, clicking and having a mammogram - so please do both, if you possibly can, then we will all be happy.
