Rally preparations

The Mull Rally is back after a Covid-enforced break last year and I can hear the roar of the cars passing through Dervaig as I write this at midnight on Friday. It will finish in the early hours of the morning. It must be a logistical nightmare setting everything up for the rally which will continue in stages tomorrow. The familiar coil of red and white tape appeared at the bottom of our drive yesterday and whenever the public road gets closed for one of the stages someone had to drive round the stage in advance of the race and stretch this tape across every driveway and lane and road to prevent anyone venturing out in a vehicle and finding themselves caught up in the race.
