The Benedetti Sessions

Will was at Saffron Hall today, taking part in the first face to face Benedetti Session since Covid started. He walked in without a backward glance without knowing a sole there. When I went to sharing he was sat at the front of his section of the orchestra looking like he was loving it. The whole group then played a baroque piece which gave me goosebumps to hear.

He came home full of it. It has certainly helped remind him why he enjoys playing. I think after the difficulties of isolation and Covid it was a welcome reminder that he enjoys playing in a group. He also was happy to note that next time his orchestra teacher plays 'truth or lie' he can say he has played in an orchestra with Nicola Benedetti and it will be true!
