Working dog

After an early morning’s worth of admin mostly involving HMRC I met Liv and L whose mission was to find a wet suit for Liv in the excellent second hand baby shop in Pollokshields. Unsuccessful, however I spotted a pair of pillar box red dungarees and and L found a rather dashing snow suit which will fit her in time for the winter.
Most satisfying of all was my purchase of Peacocks ice cream (banana split) for which BAM in Strathbungo are the sole stockists of this exceptional unctuous stuff  made ‘from scratch’ in Glasgow. It is extremely difficult to get a tub, each Sunday at 9pm they release new flavours on line and all are gone within seconds.
Liv experimented with a small piece frittata while we had lunch and then we walked home back to theirs.
The blip is Islay off to her first shift as a working dog. As well as being a therapy dog she was also a space dog; it’s too complicated to explain.
As I eat my second bowl of banana split a boisterous teenage party is happening in the trees beside Pollok Park, schools out today for the October break. They sound a jolly crowd, I hope my neighbours don’t spoil their fun by calling the police. Goodness knows they deserve a bit of licence.
