It was a very productive morning, firstly moving the above logs to make the Wildlife 'Ritz' Hotel, then stacking some smaller logs to make a similar hotel in another part of the garden.   On with trimming dead wood from the clump of lilacs on the river bank and finishing off with trimming the top of the conifer hedge.   I couldn't have managed this without the aid of a man wielding a chainsaw and a powerful hedge trimmer (not both together mind you).    Thank you Ian.  
This afternoon has been one of raking and cutting up all the detritus and putting into builders sacks ready for the bonfire.
