Shitepoke

Which is a derogatory term for herons and egrets. Not quite sure what they have done to deserve that but one theory is that if suddenly disturbed (poked) they defecate spectacularly as they fly off. 

First day back at work was a grind but we got a sudden invite to our friends C&S for dinner at six o’clock, so when TSM had finished work at 7.30 we drove over for curry and stuff. Lovely evening. We can go ages without seeing them (they were our neighbours twenty odd years ago) but when we do meet up it is always just like old times.
