The beck

Still not great, thanks for all the well wishes.

The last few days have been horrendous in our corner of the world, spent a while this morning picking up all the fallen branches (left me exhausted lol).

An amble out of the hole-in-our-wall.... the beck has been dry for three months or so now, the longest we can remember since its course was altered during Storm Desmond in 2015, but I think we've been lucky this time...

What a difference! This is my favourite little swimming spot. We just went for a wander to let Missy stretch her legs, it took all of her will power to obey the No command and not try to swim, training paying off, as not sure I could get her out of there.

The rocks at the back show the difference, a five foot fall is now 1fr fall. At the front of the extra, that little fall is normally several huge rocks that we sit on to dry and take photos and to the left there is usually a shingle beach about 8-10ft wide.
