Flutter and Buzz
October in Maine
a monarch, a bee
coexist,
unexpectedly,
feasting
freely atop
the last garden
gift,
a faded field
thistle
bleached white
by the sun.
now
harmony in
purpose,
with flutter and
buzz, they
savor and
sip,
each hurriedly
hoarding their
treasures
warmed hot
by the sun
For the Record,
This day came in warmer and even more perfect.
All hands happy
