My next challenge

One of my neighbours is part of the queue of grannies who wait at my door for help with ancient photos that they would like repaired, coloured, printed. Bless her cotton socks, other synthetic leg coverings are available, she is knitting a Nativity scene for our niece. How can I say no? 

The image I wanted to use is the extra. 

This was a cover for Digital Photographer in 2005. I was immediately hooked on the idea of IR images. Back then it was all done with filters, you needed a tripod for long exposures and shutter release mechanisms to prevent camera shake. 

The newer system whereby the camera sensor is replaced by an IR sensor is so much simpler, it's point and shoot.
