Day 279/21. A hungry Green Woodpecker.

This woodpecker is a regular visitor to our back lawn. It is getting more and more confident with us moving around, not far from it. This, about an hour ago.
What does it eat? Well, according to the RSPB, ants, ants, and more ants. They use their strong beak to dig into ant colonies and eat the inhabitants.
Perhaps this is why we do not have any major ants nests in our back garden.....
